Happy Saturday! Just two more sleeps until I'm off to Jamaica for a week. I am REALLY looking forward to sun and R&R.
So, this will be my last challenge for a little while, it's for Mojo Monday challenge # 233. I am working on some Wedding and Shower cards so I thought I'd use this challenge to make one.
I recently gave a Private Card Class as a prize at a function at my husband's lodge. I packaged some cards in the gift bag and put all the details inside the card.
The colours are Rose Red and Pear Pizazz. The stamp set, from Stampin' Up, is Flower Fest. Flowers were embossed with white embossing powder and then cut out and layered.
The gift bag is a party treat bag cut down and then cardstock was added to each side. The cardstock has a wheeled image (retired) also done in Rose Red. The Extra Large Oval Punch made the handles, and some Rose Red cardstock lined the inside. A clear envelope was adhered to the side to hold the card. Some Seam Binding Ribbon in Rose Red and Pear Pizazz finished it off.
I've decided to enter this card in another challenge; the Tic Tac Toe Challenge from The Paper Variety. The thee components are: Emboss, Create a Card and Include a Die Cut.
My card uses a dry emboss folder called Framed Tulips and the die called Flower Daisies 2, both from Stampin' Up.
My card uses products from Stampin' Up; Daffodil Delight cardstock and ink, the stamp set Precious Butterflies, DSP from Beyond The Garden, the Framed Tulips embossing folder and the flower was made using the Big Shot die called Daisies Flower #2.
This week I have been playing along with some challenges - a favourite thing to do - and have come up with this one for the latest Mojo Monday challenge.
This card uses images and papers from Recollections.
This card was made for two challenges using all Stampin' Up products. 1) A colour challenge (number 168) from Stamping 411 to use Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Basic Black. Unfortunately the colours are not very true in this picture; the left panel is Wild Wasabi, embossed with the Stripes folder, and the right panel is Melon Mambo, embossed with the Dots folder. The DSP is a retired piece of Melon Mambo with the edges cut with the new Edgelits die. The ribbon border is Wild Wasabi and the image is from Fabulous Florets. The image was embossed with white embossing powder then sponged, using a dauber, in Wild Wasabi and Pink Pirouette. 2) The second challenge is a sketch (number 254) from Card Positioning Systems. I took this sketch pretty literally, but I am pleased with the result.
