Sadly, today is my last post for Catherine and Cathy Create. These two very busy ladies (and extremely talented to boot) are saying good bye to their joint blog. If you want to still follow them make sure you visit In the Cat Cave and Catherine Loves Stamps to stay in touch.

You Made My Day!
That's exactly how I felt when I got the email from Holly asking me to be quest designer for Sunday Stamps for the month of October. If you visited me a couple of weeks ago you know my first card was for their sketch challenge; today they have a colour challenge.
The Stampin' Up! colours are Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie & Tempting Turquoise.
I've been trying some new techniques lately so I can share them with my stamp club. For this card I used the baby wipe technique. If you are not familiar with it you can see it here.

Cardstock: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie.

Fun With Masks
No, this is not a Halloween post; it is a post about masks used for stamping. The challenge today at Catherine and Cathy Create is to make your own mask. So I decided to make my first Christmas Card of the season and use the Wonderful Wreath Framelits to make a mask.
I then used the mask and a sponge to create the sentiment for my card. I used some spray adhesive on back to help the small pieces stay in place.
Here's my card:
Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Lost Lagoon,
DSP: All is Calm
Ink: Lost Lagoon
Tools: Wonderful Wreath Framelits, Stampin' Sponges
Accessories: Frosted Sequins, Silver Ribbon
Before I close I must say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my beautiful, smart, wonderful daughter! XOXO!

Hello everybody. We are enjoying a heat wave here in Mount Pearl, high 20's with even higher humidex; I'm lovin' it!! Today's challenge at Catherine and Cathy Create is about being inspired by social media. I love Pinterest and Facebook but don't use much else. This card highlights one of the things I love about Facebook...birthday reminders!
Here's my card...

Supplies:
Stamps: Age Awareness, Gorgeous Grunge, Kinda Eclectic
Ink: Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow

In the pink!
Hello everybody, it's certainly been a while since I posted. I've had a lot going on over the last six weeks with family illness. All is going well now, but it was certainly a stressful time. I've also recently returned from the Stampin' Up! annual convention in Salt Lake City. It was a wonderful time and a well needed break.
I'm still unpacking my goodies from convention and looking forward to playing with them all. We were lucky enough to be able to purchase some items from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue so I came home with a bit more than I had planned. lol!
Today I am playing with a couple of challenges; something I love to do but haven't done much of lately. The two challenges are a colour challenge from Sunday Stamps (SSC81) and a sketch challenge from The Paper Players (#206).

For My Teacher
School is almost out and kids will be saying good-bye and thank-you to their teachers; this is what came to mind when I saw the challenge "An apple a day" over at Catherine and Cathy Create.
Here's My Card:
I didn't have any stamps with apples so I looked for one in MDS, printed it and cut it out. The stamp sets are the retired set "Family Reunion" and "Gorgeous Grunge". The stem and the leaves were cut with the Bird Builder Punch and the notebook paper is a piece of retire DSP from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by.

Pack Your Bags!
Interesting that this is the name of the challenge today at Catherine and Cathy Create, as I have just unpacked my bags after three wonderful weeks in Florida. Also by the time you read this I will be packing my bags to head home after a weekend retreat of card-making and scrapbooking.
I don't really have any stamps that go along with the travel theme so I opened up MDS (My Digital Studio) and had a look at what I had there and this simple card was born. I usually print my digital card fronts and put them on a card as a layer, making a hybrid card but my printer is out of colour ink so I can only show you the card as it came from MDS.

Here's the details:

CardStock: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Basic Grey

Best Ballerina
Today's challenge at Catherine and Cathy Create is called "Digit-a-lize!". The idea is to use a digit or a digital image...I chose to go with the digital image. This image is from Bugaboo Digi Stamps; I have lots of their images, just love them! They have freebies too! This one is called Bugaboo Brats Ballerina.
Here's My Card:
(I apologize for the photo, the colours are not true. I usually try to take my photos in the daylight, but was behind schedule so ended up taking the photo tonight.) This is a hybrid card, only the ballerina image is digital, then used as if it were a stamped image. I printed the image and then watercoloured it with Stampin' Up ink pads. Here are the rest of the details:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Primrose Petals, Basic Black
Ink: Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit
Tools: Textured Impressions Adorning Accents Embossing Folder, Word Bubbles Framelits
Stamp: Just Sayin'
Accessories: Pink Rhinestones.

Hearts-a-Flutter
Valentines Day is fast approaching and so today Catherine and Cathy Create is all about "HEARTS".
Here's my card:
This is a clean and simple card, a bit of a departure for me, but I like how it turned out. I embossed the heart with the Nestabilities Hearts die. The Stamp set is from Yippee Skippee, stamped in Cherry Cobbler, and the tiny glitter heart was cut with the Owl Builder punch.
Here is a closeup:
While I'm here I thought I'd show you a few more Valentine Cards I case'd.
This one was from our Demo Swap.
This is from a tutorial by SplitCoast Stampers. Check it out here. Here is a closeup:
This last one is case'd from Dawn Olchefske her tutorial is here.
Hope you enjoyed them!
Thanks for stopping by.

Shake it up!
Well, what a crazy few days it has been here in Newfoundland and Labrador. Super cold temps, tons of snow and power outages. Hats off to line crews and other workers who are working around the clock to safely restore power. Sometimes forgotten are the communications people who are also working around the clock to keep up informed. A special shout-out to my daughter who is the Sr. Communications Adviser for NL Hydro; she too is working long hours to keep us all in the know.
Our power is back on for now so I thought I'd better get this posted!
Today's challenge at Catherine and Cathy Create is all about Birthday Cards. We've all been so into Christmas crafting for the last while it is now time to change gears.
This is my take on a card I saw here; a shaker card is sooo much fun! Here's my card:
Here's another one:
Details:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pool Party (Stars: Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush and Champagne Glimmer Paper)
DSP: Sweet Sorbet (get it in Sale-a-Bration)
Embossing Folder: Decorative Dots (also SAB)
Gold Bakers Twine, Window Sheets, Shaker Frames
