Catching up!

I haven't posted in a little while, so I thought I'd post all the cards I've done in the last month or so.  Some were for classes, some for gifts;  all supplies are Stampin' Up!.   I
have not added individual details, if you want any info just post a question in the comments and I'll fill you in.

Come back tomorrow for the rest!

Enjoy!!

Fashionably Late!

Here's My Card for Mojo Monday 292.  This week's sketch provided the perfect inspiration for a Birthday Card for a friend, albeit a bit late!  The inside sentiment is from a retired set from Stampin' Up called "Humour in High Heels".  I just love that set and still use it often.  The message is "I didn't forget your Birthday; I'm just fashionably late!"

The colours are Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse.  The DSP is from the Print Poetry stack in the Spring Catty.  The dress, sweater and dressform are cut from the Dress Up Framelits.  The Happy Birthday is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The flower and beads are from my stash.

Birthday Wish

Here's My Card for the Friday Mashup Challenge #105.  This week it's a sketch challenge with the added option of a birthday theme.
This was very timely as I had a couple of birthday cards to make this weekend.  I've been wanting to use my French Foliage set to make a masculine card and this was just the inspiration I needed.

I am trying to use some of the retiring colours, so I pulled out Bravo Burgundy (can't remember the last time I used this!), More Mustard and River Rock (not going to miss this one, lol).  For the centre image I used a stamp from the Lovely as a Tree set. I quite like the result so I think this will be one of the cards for my next class.

And, just in case you are curious, this is the other card I made; this one is not for any challenges.

Recycled Flowers

Here's My Card for The Paper Players Challenge # 140.   In honour of National Earth Month, the  challenge was to use a recycled or re-purposed item on a project

I decided to use a picture from a card I had received some time ago.  I pulled out the centre of the card that held the note but kept the main part as I really liked the image.

Here's the original card:

And here's the finished project:

I cut the image and the Pacific Point background with the SU Labels Framelits and pierced the blue layer.  I added a few pearls, a bit of Crochet Trim and put the whole thing on an embossed background.  Voila! a whole new card!

Thanks for stopping by!
