In The Garden

Here's My Card for the August Cool Cards Challenge over at Catherine and Cathy Create. The theme is "In the Garden".  I decided to try out this cool technique that I saw somewhere in blog-world called ghosting. You stamp first in white, then again in colour and slightly offset.  The trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig came in quite handy here.

Recipe:

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Old Olive
Ink: Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Versamark
Stamps: Secret Garden
Tools: Secret Garden Framelits, Bird Builder Punch
Accessories: Natural Trim, Champagne Glass Stampin' Glitter

Make sure you come back tomorrow for our first ever Catherine and Cathy Create Blog Hop!

Playing with MDS

I've been playing with MDs for the last little while; mostly working on hybrid projects.  As I feel I have so much to learn I've been following a few blogs that focus on digital card-making or scrapping.   One of them is MDS Monday and their challenge this week was a card challenge.

Here's My Card...

This took me several hours and I could have made a paper card in a fraction of the time!   I definitely need more practice!. I had fun playing though.  I think I may actually print the Two by Two image and make a hybrid card using this layout too.

Here's My Card for The Friday Mashup FM120. This week it's Christmas in July! I've been busy stamping over the last few days; part of the reason is that it is so much cooler in my basement craft room! I've played along with several challenges.  For this one I tried a technique shared a while ago by one of our Strawberry SUper Stampers.

Here's a close-up of the ornaments.
