In the pink!

Hello everybody, it's certainly been a while since I posted.  I've had a lot going on over the last six weeks with family illness.  All is going well now, but it was certainly a stressful time.  I've also recently returned from the Stampin' Up! annual convention in Salt Lake City.  It was a wonderful time and a well needed break.

I'm still unpacking my goodies from convention and looking forward to playing with them all.  We were lucky enough to be able to purchase some items from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue so I came home with a bit more than I had planned. lol!

Today I am playing with a couple of challenges; something I love to do but haven't done much of lately.  The two challenges are a colour challenge from Sunday Stamps (SSC81) and a sketch challenge from The Paper Players  (#206).

Here's my card...

Details - all Stampin' Up!:
Stamps: Bloom With Hope (Hostess Set), Gorgeous Grunge
Cardstock: Primrose Petals, Very Vanilla
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive
Technique: Watercolouring with Aquapainter
Accessories: Very Vanilla Satin ribbon

And because I always make cards two at a time and I sometimes change them up a bit, here is my second card.  This one's square.

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. So pretty. I love the way you framed the focal image, it really makes it pop. The off-kilter sentiment is a great touch and the ribbons add a softness to the overall card. So glad you joined the Paper Players this week

  5. I love the soft colours of your cards - the Gorgeous Grunge background adds a delicate pattern without detracting from the beautifully coloured flowers. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week.
