Here's My Card for The Paper Players Challenge # 129 - Clean and Simple Sketch. I have been away from card-making for what seems like ages. I dismantled my craft room just before Christmas as my Grandson, who was home with his Mom (my daughter) Dad and baby sister for Christmas, needed to sleep in there. Then in early January I moved everything from the second floor and set up a new studio in my basement. Now I'm ready to get back and this sketch was just in time. I had pulled out the retired Stampin' Up set called Bubble Queen to make a card and then this perfect sketch came along - it was made for it!
All products are from Stampin' Up!
I used DSP from the Sweet Shop collection, the cardstock is Pool Party, Whisper White and Basic Black. The tub is coloured with Smooch Ink in Moonlight and the Bubbles are done with Dazzling Details. Markers were used to colour the remaining parts of the image in Blush Blossom and Pool Party.
I also did a slightly different version using an embossing folder by Cuttlebug.
Hope you like!
Tiz.
Both cards are darling Tiz! In both cases you've made excellent choices in the background dp as well as the EF--both have a great water feel to them. Love the dazzling diamonds bubbles too. So glad our sketch got you busy in the craft room again! Thanks for playing!
ReplyDeleteTiz, this is over the top girly-girl and I love it! The greeting works perfectly for the image and the sparkly bubbles are the finishing touch. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteTiz, both are fabulous, but I love the first one most. I love the clean lines of the shape against the black layer and I really love the DSP. Great job coloring her turban and the dazzling details on the bubbles was a perfect touch! So glad you joined my challenge at the Paper Players this week and shared this fabulous card with us.
