Here's My Card for the Paper Players Challenge #122. The Challenge is to use gold or silver on a card. So this was the perfect inspiration for my own Christmas cards this year. I used the Stampin' Up set "Evergreen", so that's where the name comes from.
I stamped the tree outline in Whisper White Craft Ink (however it is hard to see in the picture), then stamped the overlay in (retired) Silver ink on Night of Navy cardstock. The embossing folder is also retired and called Snowflake. I added a frame of silver glimmer paper to complete the "bling" theme while still keeping it CAS. The star was lightly coloured with Night of Navy ink refil and a sponge dauber. A Night of Navy ribbon adds the final touch. I hope you like it!

The inside of the card says "Eat A Cupcake - Happy Birthday!" This card uses the Cupcake Builder punch with the Create a Cupcake Stamp set as well as the hostess set Carry On. The DSP is from Floral District. The colours are Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade.
Come back soon!

Falling Leaves
Here's My Card for several challenges. This will be my last post for a little while as we are heading off on holiday later this week and won't be home until the end of October. I guess I'll have withdrawal again - a whole month without stamping! I needed a birthday card and thought I'd combine three challenges to do it. First, the sketch is Mojo Monday #260, then the colours came from Colour Q Challenge 156 and last the inspiration came from The Friday Mashup #78 - Let's Get Twiney!

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
- Make a "Fall Leaves" themed project.
- Or Make a project with "Twine".
- Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Fall Leaves Themed project using Twine".
I decided to go with the "Mashup" ; I thought the colours would be perfect for fall leaves. I don't have any of the leaf stamps or dies that seem to be so popular so I went to an old favourite set "Lovely as a Tree". I stamped the tree in Soft Suede and then used markers to colour the fall leaves. I substituted Cajun Craze for Dusty Durango as I did not have any of that retired colour; and I did not have a button in that colour so I made one using the Buttons #5 Sizzlet and Crystal Effects. Other details:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze
DSP: Comfort Cafe
Other: Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Brights Buttons in Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry, Early Espresso Baker's Twine.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Thanks for visiting.
See you in November,
Tiz

Elegant Ornament
Here's My Card for ALWAYS PLAYING WITH PAPER Merry Monday Challenge #34. As winner of challenge #32
I was asked to be a guest designer this week, what a thrill and a honour it was to have my card chosen as top pick. This weeks sketch is so elegant and classic I wanted to make a card to fit that feel.

All products used on this card are by Stampin' Up! The colours are Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler. The DSP is Bring on the Cheer. The ribbon is Victorian Lace Crochet Trim. The stamp set is Ornament Keepsakes and the coordinating Holiday Ornament Framelit die was used to cut out the ornament which was clear embossed after it was stamped. I layered the frames, cut out using the Labels Collection Framelit dies, and the ornament and then added a few pearls as a final touch. Here is a close up.
It was great fun doing this. I hope you come back to visit me here again.
